Recently my sister and I were combing the beach in Florida near our father’s home for unusual and beautiful materials to add to my jewelry. My sister Kim found this piece and I immediately thought I wanted to replicate the barnacles in silver as part of the setting of the shell. This one of a kind completely handmade brooch fastens with a mechanism that is sterling silver and 18 gauge spring steel.
