A one of a kind whimsical and abstract figural heart /mask/ brooch/pendant of fused, reticulated and fabricated sterling silver with some sort of fanciful eye patch apparatus, sideways antique glass doll’s eye and band-aids. Because as personal experience tells me, the aged and slightly banged-up heart “sees” better so thus the concept for this piece was born. The more distorted edge of the heart is punctuated with post set fresh water pearls and the piece is signed, hallmarked and dated 2024. The brooch back mechanism is hand made from sterling silver and 18 gauge spring steel while the integrated spiral of “hair” at the top of the brooch serves as the bale to wear as a pendant.
