The star of this piece is certainly the handmade iridescent art glass scarab made by glass artist Evan Chambers. Taking cues from the Art Nouveau and Louis Comfort Tiffany I built the scarab a contemporary floral form and layered environment to be set in. Fabricated in all sterling silver the brooch/pendant measures approximately 3.5x 3” and the scarab measures approximately 1.5x1.25”. The brooch fastens with a handmade sterling silver and 18 gauge spring steel closure and a pendant bale is discreetly hidden on back. The piece is signed, hallmarked and dated 2023.
