Returning to my roots and taking a cue from the Art Nouveau and the Arts and Crafts Movement is this kinetic shield neckpiece. A detailed floral form pierced and hammered copper element supports a hinged and kinetic shield element which has riveted on it a sterling silver organically shaped bezel that contains a large tab pronged Mabe Pearl. The pendant is suspended from a handmade sterling silver chain that simply hooks in the back. The whole piece is lightly patinated and finished with a layer of museum wax. The pendant measures approximately 4.5”by 2.25” and the chain is adjustable from 16.5” to 22”. The piece is signed, hallmarked and dated 2024.
